This starting material consists of 3 following components: silicone dioxide, sodium oxide and potassium oxide. Combined silicates have abnormal physical and chemical profiles. Among other things, melting point and electrical conduction departs from the expectation values to the lower side. This abnormality could be used for the electrode production technological advancement.

Potassium waterglass is produced via potassium silicate solution.

Usage:

- Heat-proof concrete (up to 800 C)

- Additive for concretes and cements for faster setting (1-15% for cement weight)

- Silicate and retardand paints (main bind with addition of colored pigment)

- Silicate fillers and caulking compounds with addition of fillers such as talc, marble dust and silica flour

- Is good for the concrete and wooden construction's waterproofing. The material is effective for fungus and mould in moisture-laden places

POTASSIUM SILICATE

The starting material, melt of a potassium silicate, produced via silica sand and carbonate of potassium melting. Potassium silicate crystallizes during the cooldown and turns into homogeneous and transparent pieces without visible inclusions. It is an ecologically clean material that does not react with nearby environment and has good fire-resistance.

The material is used for potassium silicate solution (potassium waterglass) production.

WATERGLASS

Waterglass is produced via sodium silicate solution.

The material is used in concrete, fire retardand paint and construction mixes production. It is indispensible in chemical industry for the silica gel, lead silicate and sodium metasilicate production. Waterglass is also used in soap, textile, paper, iron industries and casthouse production.
